1. What this page is
RavSolutions is built on open source components. This page lists them one by one — name, version, licence and copyright holder — and reproduces the full text of the licences involved at the bottom of the page.
The inventory is split into four groups according to where each component runs. The components delivered to your browser are distributed by us — your browser downloads them when a page opens — whereas those running on our servers and the infrastructure are passed on to nobody; those are listed for transparency.
The list reflects the versions installed on the date shown in the header of this page. It is not an estimate: the version numbers, licences and copyright notices were read out of the installed packages themselves.
2. How to read the inventory
The Component column gives the component's official name and links to its public page. Version is the release we use. Licence is the licence's SPDX identifier, the internationally standardised short form for licences. Copyright holder is the copyright notice as it appears in the component's own licence file.
None of this is translated in any language version. A translated copyright notice would stop being what the licence intends it to be: the verbatim identification of the copyright holder.
A component usually builds on further components. The inventory lists those we use directly; for the group delivered to your browser, that is at the same time the complete set actually shipped. The resolved list of indirectly pulled-in, server-side components is available on request.
3. What the licences require, and what this page does about it
The components delivered to your browser are under the MIT, Apache 2.0 and 0BSD licences. All three permit use and redistribution, but in exchange require the copyright notice and the licence text to travel with the software to the recipient. This page discharges that obligation: the notices are in the table, the full licence texts in the part below it.
Section 4 of the Apache 2.0 licence expressly requires that the recipient be given a copy of the licence. That is why we do not merely link to the full text but publish it here, on this page.
We do not distribute the components running on our servers or belonging to the infrastructure, so the redistribution conditions of their licences do not apply to them. We list them regardless, because what the service runs on is a fair thing to want to know.
4. Our own code
The source code, interface, visual identity and documentation of RavSolutions itself are not open source; section 6 of the imprint and clause 13 of the Terms and Conditions govern them. The licences listed here apply to the listed components alone, not to the service as a whole.
Using open source components therefore does not make the service open source and gives you no rights in our own code. Nor does it work the other way round: your rights in the listed components come from their own licences, and we cannot narrow them.
5. Names, trade marks, absence of endorsement
The names and signs of the components, projects and companies listed belong to their respective holders. They are mentioned here for identification only, and their mention does not mean that the holder endorses, recommends or is in any way connected with RavSolutions.
Equally: our use of a component does not make its developers answerable for our service. Every licence listed here excludes warranty and liability on the part of the component's authors.
6. Requests and updates to the inventory
If you would like a copy of the full text of a licence, the resolved list of indirect dependencies, or further information about a particular component, write to info@ravsolutions.eu. If you believe the inventory is incomplete or wrong, tell us at the same address and we will correct it.
We update the inventory when the set of components, their versions or their licences change. The version number and date in the header of the page always refer to the state the table shows.
Components we use
The inventory below is organised into four groups. Names, version numbers, licence identifiers and copyright notices are shown in their original form, identically in every language.
